Matteo is a Masters student in World Politics and International Relations at the University of Pavia, having graduated with a long-cycle degree in Law from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. Originally from the north of Italy, his long-term aim is working within the context of diplomatic relations in the future.
Another diagnosed MUN addict, Matteo has risked life and limb at twelve international conferences in Italy, Germany and Poland. He has however an especial attachment to MILMUN (Milan), at which he has participated for the last three editions as a delegate and chair, and for which is currently Secretary-General for the 11th edition in 2016. In his everyday life Matteo is interested in international politics and loves the encounter with new people and cultures.
As a good Italian, he appreciates good food and the pleasure of consuming it during a meal with his friends. We hope the food of our humble halls lives up to his high standards.
Sebastian is a recent graduate of History and Philosophy at the University of Southampton. Brought up around Europe as well as travelling further afield, he is always overjoyed to come across new cultures and surround himself with a diverse group of people.
His passion for travel and politics means he is a frequent attendee at Model United Nations conferences, which he has been involved with since joining at school. At university he was the founder and president of Southampton’s Model United Nations society, sat on the committee of the university debating society, and was an active participant in the Student Union.
Beyond university he has also been actively involved politically with the Liberal Democrats and the cross-party European Movement. When not dedicating himself to some event or cause he enjoys aimless walks and improving his culinary skills.
